Remember the rhyme you were taught about Christopher Columbus? That was all a lie. In fact, he was a cruel man and did you know he did not even discover America. Christopher Columbus day should not be celebrated and recognized as a national holiday in the United States because his whole “being a great hero” was all just an act. He did not discover America and he was not even kind to the natives that he saw.
Columbus is not that kind and friendly guy you thought he was. Imagine the food you feed your dog was made from babies. He is the guy who really did discover America. Did you know that he discovered America way before Columbus did. I mean a bit over five hundred years before Columbus. Not only did Leif Erikson discover America before Columbus but so did the natives he so called discovered. Think about it, if Columbus met natives on his journey that would mean the Native Americans discovered America before him? Columbus is a fraud and the Nnative Aamericans discovered america around 14,000 before he was even born. Guess who else discovered America before Columbus?. A group of Polynesian explorers dugout canoes across the Pacific and settled in South America long before Leif Erikson which means these Polynesian explorers discovered America before Christopher and Leif Erikson. Many people say that Columbus was the first person to prove it is possible to travel across the world. He also proved that you can kill nearly three million people in only twenty years.
Christopher Columbus day should not be celebrated as a national holiday throughout the U.S. Why should we celebrate a day for someone who was a cruel man to people who did nothing but help him and someone who did not even discover
