Just imagine the horror on your face if you accidentally started a house fire and when you called for help you heard “Sorry but the firefighters are on strike.” Could you image the fear along with anger you might be feeling at that moment, what if I said that could happen in real life; this is just one reason public service workers should not be allowed to strike.
Public service workers help us in many ways, from saving our life, to maybe just delivering our mail. We need public service workers to survive, as it is a part of our natural habit. Wouldn’t you agree that if public service workers were allowed to strike it would affect our lives as well? According to “New York School Bus Strike” Members of the striking Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1181 in New York were not driving the buses they usually were as a strike. Students had to use alternative ways to get to school since about 152,000 students rely on buses. This did disrupt parent’s schedules as well because they would no longer transport their children to the place where they got an education.
