When Valor at age 12, her mother was pregnant. Her dad, her cousin, and her brother’s were fighting in the war. The war has been going on for four years, but the family had to protect the livestock and the farm. Valor hid in the closet, when blue uniforms people came over to the house and that always means horrible news. The leader (red beard) grabs Sarah’s ( Valor’s Mom) arm and push her up the stairs and she fainted Sarah felled on the solid floor. Sarah did not hurt herself, but she did injured the baby, they were not having another child.
