Is college really worth it?
When it comes to the topic of if college is worth it, most of us will agree that it is worth the investment. However there are some individuals that would say college isn’t worth it and you can find a good paying job without a college diploma.
I would agree that college is worth the investment. On average, 58% of college graduates with at least an associate degree reported to be very satisfied with their job. While 50% of people that graduated high school and 60% of people without a high school diploma were unsatisfied with their job. This fact even shows that if you graduate college you will be happy with your job later in life. There have been studies that show if you graduate college you will be more involved in the community. College graduates are more likely to get job then people that drop out of don’t go to college. Georgetown University

2007 and Jan. 2010, jobs requiring college degrees grew by 187,000, while jobs requiring some college or an associate’s degree fell by 1.75 million and jobs requiring a high school degree or less fell by 5.6 million. Based on economy and job projections calculated by Georgetown University, in 2018, approximately 63% of jobs will require some college education or a degree.” As you can see, in the near future a majority of jobs will require college education and the jobs that don’t will most likely be minimum wage. “ On average, a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree earned $30,000 more per year than a high school graduate or about $500,000 more over a lifetime, as of Apr. 2013. Earning an associate’s degree ( 2-year degree) was worth about $170,000 more than a high school diploma over a lifetime in 2011. The median income for families headed by a bachelor’s degree holder was $100,096 in 2011- more than double than that for a family headed by a high school graduate. The
