Argumentative Essay: Is Christianity The One True Religion?

Many people from all over the world have argued that their religion is the one true religion. No matter how compelling their argument might be, Christianity will always offer far more than any other religion possibly could. Numerous people have stated that all religions are right. This is, in fact, false. There are 19 major religions in the world and 270 large religious groups in the world. There have been around 34,000 separate Christian groups discovered around the world (Robinson). Some of these religious groups may look similar but they are not the same and none of them certainly come close to being equivalent to Christianity. It has been estimated that around 105,000 people a year has converted to Christianity. Why are so many people converting to Christianity? The answer is simple, Christianity offers something no other religion can. Redemption. Christianity is by no means an easy lifestyle. Thousands of Christians are killed each year because of their faith. However, those killed truly believe that they are going to heaven and have lived a good life in the name of Jesus Christ. No other religion does that. Other religions will try to make everything as peaceful as possible and as comfortable as possible. The Christian bible tells everyone that all of humanity is broken and sinful. No other religion does that. It seems kind of extrema to tell everyone that they are all broken and sinful but it is the truth. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.” (English Standard Version Matthew 15:19). If God did not come to save us, these sins would take over us and we would be eternally separated from
