Argumentative Essay: Is Bluebeard The Murder?

Decent Essays
I’m almost sure that bluebeard is the murder. When Bigby and miss White told him that Rose Red had disappeared and perhaps murdered he reacted so strong that I think it was fake. It seemed like he already knew but just wanted to make a big reaction so he would seem surprised. And when he said that the finder of the potential killer of Rose would get a big reward it seemed a bit exaggerated. But who knows, maybe he just like Rose Red really much and is furious that somebody might have killed

I agree with Krakauer that Christopher McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with people easily, but he did seem some-what incompetent, even though he managed to survive for over one hundred days in the wild. McCandless was the type of person that anyone could relate to. The author, Jon Krakauer describes the final years of the boy. Krakauer reveals the untold truth about McCandless. In Jon Krakauer’s Into The Wild, Christopher McCandless, prior to embarking in his Alaskan Odyssey, writes a letter to his aged friend, Ron Franz, stating his stance on human relationships: “You are wrong if you think Joy emanates only or principally from human relationships … you do not need me or anyone else around to bring this kind of light into your life.” (57) McCandless further explains that the dependence on others to be happy is unnecessary, as one can be perfectly content on his own, once he finds beauty in nature and life experiences. I partially agree with this argument, as I value the balance between self-reliance and human relationships; By spending time alone, I become more appreciative of time spent with others. Last summer,…

When nearly after six years in the Missouri courts, the state Supreme Court rejected this argument in 1852, Dred Scott, with the help of abolitionist lawyers, appealed to the United States Supreme Court. Leonard Cohen once said, “any startling piece of work has a subversive element in it”. When people create art, they have a reason. There is a meaning behind every song, book, and art piece. Artists will create these works of art to be subversive, to send a message or use them to go against what society or authority figures think they are capable of doing. In The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Hans and Liesel are subversive towards the Nazis.…
