Bigfoot is a large, hairy, apelike creature resembling a yeti and is supposedly found in northwestern America. Individuals claim to have seen Bigfoot, describing it as a large, roughly 6–9-foot creature covered in black, dark brown, or dark reddish hair. Scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than living animal.
