Employment-based immigration allows temporary visas to certain foreign nations. There are more than 20 types of visas for temporary nonimmigrants. For permanent employment based immigrants there's only allowed 140,000 per year. These 140,000 visas are divided into five different groups for eligibility.

Some illegal immigrants may get caught and get deported or have to spend time in jail.
