The biggest factor being that guns do not kill people, people kill people. A gun is an inanimate object that can not pull its own trigger. This would be like saying spoons made me fat. Society cannot blame something that is not in complete control of itself. It is the person controlling the weapon that pulls a trigger to end a victim’s life. This is something that the American people need to learn to recognize. Guns are not the problem, criminals are the problem. When a criminal thinks of how to kill someone, the reaction is the same almost every time, with a gun. Why are they so used to doing this? It is because the American society has started to depend on guns far too much, and it is getting out of control. This is not like the weapons should be stripped because of a hunter, they should be stripped because many members of our society’s lives are being taken away without a single care by the person who did it. Instead of punishing the gun so to speak, why does the government not care more about helping the criminal become a good person. If you take away the gun, the person is still a criminal, however, if they help them become a better person, then even if they have a gun they will not use it to harm
