Congress continues to debate the efficacy and constitutionality regulated firearms and ammo. To be totally honest, people believe the government would have to amend the constitution to bring about such an action. The second amendment of the constitution gives us the right to bear arms. Keeping in mind, if amended, our personal right under the constitution would have no meaning; whenever, the government wish to make changes, they will just vote. The government would be like a parliament, just do what we say. If allowed, these right wing activists would change one constitutional amendment, and there would be more to follow. They say, “guns cause deaths”, “guns do not kill people, people kill people”, and if there were no guns, there would not be enough police to protect us.
We must take into account, there must be some control in the cello guns and the sale should be trackable. Online sales, and is definitely an area that needs to be modified or altogether stopped. Therefore, I feel there is no need to destroy guns, …show more content…
Steps can be taken to reduce criminals from getting a hold of weapons with tougher screening. This will only be the beginning of a new black market, and the majority of citizens who abide by the law would lose their constitutional right to bear arms. The NRA believes, if we put people through seminars and training, prior to purchasing a gun, and teach them how to care for their guns, and how to protect their guns would reduce a lot of crime, considering most guns are stolen by a family member. The idea that merely having a gun is all that contributed to this tragedy is certainly not the only issue. For example, in Colorado, what would happen in the movie theater had other individuals had guns and not properly trained? The tragedy in Colorado could have been a lot worse, imagine bullets flying around inside of a dark movie
