Some people that own guns, 78% of men 80% of women in America, feel safer when having a gun with them. For this reason, a survey in 1993 when 34% of people in America wanted gun rights protected and 57% people wanted gun ownership controlled. Another survey in December 2014, 52% of people wanted gun rights protected while 46% say that gun ownership should be controlled. There was a law in 1994-2004 that large guns, such as AK47s, can not be bought, but since the law expired now people have taken advantage since the law has not been renewed
