Going to school in America is not cheap. Everyday students struggle not only to pay for their collegiate educations, but also to offset these costs as much as they can. One issue many have raised is the fact that colleges and universities are simply too expensive, most families can not afford to pay out of pocket the tens of thousands of dollars a year for an education. The government does attempt to help through FAFSA, giving subsidized and unsubsidized loans geared towards assisting students through their studies and deferring payments until 6 months after graduation. My family and I are extremely thankful that we qualify for these loans and have chosen only to take out what we need and nothing more, this way when the time comes to pay them
