Genetically modified foods have been the subject of many controversies over the years. There have been concerns about the safety of genetically modified foods. The only way to end these controversies is by analyzing scientific evidence from both sides. Therefore, the question arises, has there been sufficient scientific evidence that proves beyond a doubt that genetically modified foods are indeed safe for human consumption. Well, the facts point to the contrary. If someone simply web-searched “genetically modified foods” without any specific subject, they would encounter overwhelming criticisms and dangers of genetically modified foods. This paper aims to disapprove claims that the foods are safe for human consumption by presenting scientific evidence showing how they are harmful (Wald 34).
