The supreme court disregarded the Establishment Clause in which it stated the freedom of religion. A simple silence does not express that they are school prayer. I believe that the supreme court thought the freedom of religion was freedom from religion and any other things. Since school prayer allowed students to observe religious belief during school day.So why should we have holidays like christmas that expresses religion when it's supposed be banned.

The school prayer case was brought high up to the Supreme court. Kerpelman said our long tradition of saying the public prayer in public schools is unconstitutional because it does not be constitution through tradition. He was favored by the Jewish organizations and not one Christians filed against him so that they can have school prayer. The majority won and abolished having school prayer and bible reading in the public schools. So now the only practice of religion in schools are private schools. How come we have broken our roots from religion that had been there as long as time.
We should be given the time to do a small prayer in school because we have the right as seen in the Establishment clause in the constitution. Our country used be heavily in practice with religion so we should bring those times back. Teachers should not only teach about subjects but also religion so that they can their is a God from them.
