My school recently finished hosting our Fall Scholastic book fair and it could not of came at a better time. I had parents at the beginning of the year request to be emailed or call because they were highly interested in helping out such as setting up, taking down, and helping throughout the day. Just because a parent tells you they are interested does not mean they will always commit. I emailed parents who volunteered at our school along with discussing it the Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) president. Therefore, we ended up having three parents come in and volunteer a few hours during the week. A little help is better than nothing. We also had our junior librarians help out before and after school. Some helped out during our kickoff night. I placed finical receipts in the binder along with all other important finical documents pertaining to the fair. I also sat down with my school librarian discussing the success of the fair creating a list of pros and cons along with discussing the possibly about having three fairs next school year. “According to Morrison “It is always advisable to keep both finical and anecdotal records of your fair.
