Entering the family room, sipping his morning coffee, Andrew called out, “Honey, I’m going to watch the, boring, local news, before going to work.” Turning on the TV, the newscaster shocked him when he said, “We are going live to the scene of the double homicide discovered in Jackson, Heights yesterday.”
“Good morning, Frank,” a young woman said, before looking straight at the camera as she continued, “Good morning. This is Janet Stanwood. After several neighbors, here on Olive lane complained about a horrible odor coming from that house, someone called the police.” She pointed to the house behind her. When the officer arrived, they found the house looked, after forcing his way into the home, the Officer Blackman found a brutally beaten couple lying on the living room floor. The neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, has identified them as Mr. Mrs. Bert Stevens, long time residents of Jackson Heights. According to the neighbor, their grandson lived with them, but he was not at home at that time. There are no other details available at this time. Back to you in the studio, this is Janet Stanwood in Jackson Heights, Maryland for WNSF TV in Baltimore.”
