The early hours of Wednesday, November 9th were moments that many people will never forget. Hope for America was either reborn or came crashing down. Many feel that America chose division, hatred, and bigotry to lead the future. While others believe America has finally broken the chains of political correctness and allowed for a better country to prosper. I watched as an older white man asked a young protestor, “Why are you protesting?” His voice didn’t have any trace of accusation, but rather genuine curiosity. I then watched the woman look at him and walk away in silence, assuming he was belittling her efforts. Minutes later I saw the older man chanting with the rest of us. Someone else had taken the time to explain the protest to him, and he was more than willing to join the efforts. While the first protester was not trying to cause harm, she almost prevented this man from being part of the movement by completely shutting down his possible
