Cats vs. Dogs
There always seems to be two sides of things. Eventually, people are made to choose which side to be on. One of the most common debates is if a cat is better than a dog or vice versa. Dogs need to be active to keep their legs strong and stay in shape. If you keep a dog inside, they are not able to get what they need, therefore, owners have to take them outside or to dog parks which can be very dangerous if other dogs are not monitored or trained. Cat owners do not have to worry about this because being inside is much safer for them and they need very little exercise. According to the article Cats Versus Dogs: Which Are Better Pets?, “You can leave them alone for longer periods of time without their chewing the furniture or howling for hours. You don’t need to take them for walk” (“Cats” 1). Cats are also less maintenance because owners do not have to be groomed. The article Cats Versus Dogs: Which Are Better Pets? also says, “Cats are cleaner and easier to take care of than dogs are. You don’t need to give them baths, and they bury their own feces” (“Cats” 1). Cats are self-cleaning and can use the restroom without having to go
