“I love you with all of my heart”, “I love you to the moon and back”, “I love you unconditionally”, but do you really? One may say these things, but do they honestly mean them whole-heartedly? The average human heart is only 10 ounces, which in comparison to the three-pound brain, is actually tiny. Are you saying you love them only a tiny bit? And how many trips are you planning to take to the moon; one round trip is lone 6 days. Are you saying you love them for only 6 days, no more no less? Unconditionally is not being limited by conditions. Are you saying if someone did you wrong unto no return you would love him or her? Understanding what kind of relationship exists will determine how one can decide what type of “love” is present. One may show just as much “love” to their pet as they do their mother. While someone else may not have had a pet or a mother to experience this thing called “love” with. Past experiences make people who they are for a reason and shape their beliefs, which they will carry for a lifetime. One could ask a chemist what love is and they would be given the literal chemical reaction, which produces other certain chemicals to give us the feeling of satisfaction or “love”. Love is doodling your crushes name at the top of your paper to let people know you cared about them. Love is staying up all hours of the night just to text that one person who has been on your mind all day and waking up early in the morning to send them a good morning text. Love is getting butterflies in your stomach even when you have found contentment in your relationship. Love is jumping in your bed after a long day at school or work. Love is the first meal you have eaten in a long period of time. Love is having mutual respect for each other, meaning you will sometimes have to agree to disagree just because the bond is more important than an argument. Love is growing with each other and sometimes getting jealous because someone has it better than you. Most importantly love is not just three words on a page; it is devotion, time, and effort. In 1-Corinthians 13:4-7, it is stated “Love is patient, love is kind”. This scripture is saying that love takes time and benevolent acts to truly become something worthy to call
