Kinsey's Argument Against Child Adoption

When we talk about LGBT what image that go through our mind? Some people say that LGBT is something immoral, disgusting and sin that only mindless people would have done. But, some people have different thought about this problem. They think LGBT is an option for each people, so it’s their own decision to choose the path as long as they are not disturbing others. According to Kinsey’s report in 1948 10% of male is gay in this world. The number is quite big, but we can’t assume that someone seems normal is actually a gay. There are many people that support the LGBT, but in the other side there are also people who against the LGBT because of the religion’s reason. There are some advantages of being gay especially when we talked about adoption of children in a gay marriage. Child adoption in a gay marriage is just like an ordinary married couple who have a child, but the difference is that their relationship is more stable than the ordinary married couple. From the article in Life Long Adoption, child that is in a same sex family tend to be more open minded and they accept the difference of other people. The child often to get appreciation from their same sex parent, because their parent had to face difficulties and discrimination in their lives. Usually, people think that children in a gay marriage will not have a future, but we can’t judge people by its appearance when we don’t know how they manage to live better than the ordinary couple would have done. When we talked about LGBT, there’s also word Transgender inside it. Transgender means that they don’t match with the gender they naturally had. They were also the part of society that we can’t just let it pass away. Some sources said that transgender is the way of some people show the world who they really are. Marginalization happen when the society reject the LGBT because of an immoral decision that are made by the couple that decide their future by homosexual marriage. People can’t accept the thing that is clearly prohibited by society and by God. According to International Journal of Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies (IJIMS) one case in social rejection can be seen in harassment of LGBT students in school. We can imagine that being a teenager that still has a lot of dreams and future, but every person in school reject him because he was LGBT. They said that 31.7% of LGBT students missed a class and 32.7% missed a day. With that point of view from the students, they will mostly give up with their dreams. Another disadvantage of being LGBT is Psychological Distress. This condition happens when there’s pressure from the society that make the LGBT leave unsupported. In conclusion, we know that LGBT is prohibited in some countries, but some big countries allow the LGBT and there’s a legal law that constraint them. There are some supportive community that accept them and they have at least a place to defend their right. Some people see their activities as an immoral action and make a social rejection to them like harassment in school, marginalization that make a psychological distress among them.
