Are cars really where we want them to be right now? Sure, it’s easy to look in the past and be content with the advancements we have made but where is it that we stand at this moment? If we can look at what the car does not just for ourselves but for our community we can see so much more. When we look at the little things and all of the progress being made we start to realize where we are going with it all. It is safe to assume that in 2050 self-driving cars will be very common and will aid in many aspects of climate control.

Even some of the craziest car ideas are already being developed today. We can predict the future quite easily because, “the cars of the not-so-distant future are being made today” (Kalogianni). If we look back just a couple years we can already see the big differences between cars then and now. One year from now almost every car is predicted to have Bluetooth, navigation, and parking sensors. All of these features were top of the market just a few years ago. Two years from now predictions are being made that self-driving cars may not quite be common but they will definitely start to become more noticeable and the technology leading up to them will be more common and advanced. In five years cars with internet should be very common, as well as car-to-car communications and the sight of the first completely driverless cars on the market. Our current car technologies are only a warm-up of what cars will be able to in our life very soon. We will see the use of electric cars and other climate aiding cars to be very common on the streets. All of the predictions and thoughts we are making today are likely already being worked on and developed by many different companies.
