Have you ever wondered if college was the right choice to take? Many people are deciding whether or not to attend college. College has many benefits such as helping one obtain better employment, helping receive finer pay, and preparing many for a healthy life. College is one of the most important aspects of your career. It is an experience that will change your life. College helps me receive better employment. One reason of how college helps me receive better employment is many jobs require superior technology skills. According to “Getting Ready for College Early,”in college, several jobs require new technology skills that require education beyond high school. You can use those technological skills to apply what you know for the job. Another reason is you can have more jobs to choose from when you’re in college. With a two to four year college education, you will have a more likely chance of a job of your liking than if you only went to high school, you will only have a few jobs to choose from. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, people who graduate with a bachelor’s degree likely earn twice as much as high school graduates. The advantages of obtaining a bachelor’s degree exceeds the cost of tuition. Another reason is college graduates have $800,000 extra in lifetime earnings if attending a more expensive, well educated college. The cost of a four year education in a public school rounds up to $28,000 and a private school is about $100,000. If college students go with the more expensive college, they would still have a large amount of money left over. Attending college helps you earn more money than the average high school
