Argumentative Essay: Abortion, The End Of Human Life

Decent Essays
Argumentative Essay Abortion is the ending of human life. There are many different viewpoints on the topic of abortion. Therefore, some people believe that women have the right to do what they want with their bodies, and others believe that abortion is a sin and abortion is ultimately killing a child. The main question in consideration is, whether abortion is morally right or morally wrong. Abortion is completely wrong and there are very few exceptions for someone to have an abortion. If a person felt mature enough to make the choice to create that child, then they should be mature enough to take care of their children with or without help and own up to the actions that led them to become a mother or a father. Gale has said there are two types of people when it comes to abortion, “pro-life” and “pro-choice”. He is very right about that. Those who are pro-life, are completely against abortion and will do anything to stop it at any cost. The pro-life people also refer to the pro-choice as “anti-life”. Pro-choice people believe women have the choice to do with their body what they want. Pro-choice people want women to have the choice, but had that woman made better choices and protected the situation she wouldn’t even have to go through with the abortion. However, abortions are not ethically right, when women get abortions, the thought might cross their mind, “Oh, what is my family going to think of me after this abortion” but does the thought of the baby truly cross that woman 's mind, doubtful. No matter how far along women are in their pregnancies, that the baby inside of them is going to be a living, breathing human one day and it is in no way ethical to end that baby’s life for selfish reasons. There are so many ethical concerns when considering abortion for the baby and that women. For example, when a woman in a small town gets an abortion, it is heard of very fast and they begin to feel like they made the wrong choice due to the social side of this debate. Therefore, when the “pro-life “ people begin to hear about the abortions, women who are involved in their lives have they begin to judge every aspect of their lives. Abortion is not in any way ethically right. Think about the actions that these women are committing and examine all possible alternatives for the women and men

As a result abortion has mixed effects on society. For example some people now believe abortion is wrong as it includes the destruction of a foetus. Others believe that under certain circumstances like rape, abortion can tolerated and accepted as the birth of the child may mean psychological trauma for the mother. Others believe that abortion should be accepted as all women have the right to decide for themselves, so if they feel that they don't want to keep the child, then they should have the right to decide whether to keep it.…

All human beings care for their safety. This is due to their natural fear of death. Especially when people have close, caring, connections with others, their concern for others is just as strong as their concern for themselves. Families automatically have connections, but the love within them is not always there. Mothers who abort their children do not show much love for their child.…

Abortion In our society we have become stupendously crazed with rights, as well as being politically correct. Whether talking about domestic pets or wild animals, there will be a tremendous out cry if they are hurt or treated badly. Even with all of this the unborn child is not protected. Instead of looking at abortion as the solution for an unwanted pregnancy, I believe a person should be looking for the solution to abortion.…

The opinions of people usually fall into two groups; pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-life advocates believe that abortion is murder. They feel strongly that terminating a pregnancy is terminating a life. Often time’s abortion is against a religion. At the point of conception a fetus is recognized by god, therefore terminating a pregnancy is a form of murder which disobeys many religions (AbortionProcon.org).…

Abortion has been a great topic of debate for many years, both in terms of law/rights and in morality/religion. The constant debate has split people into two sides: Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. Those who are Pro-Choice believe that women have a right to decide the fate of their body, health, and life. They personally may not get an abortion, but they feel that it is still the right of the mother to choose. Abortion prevents unsafe pregnancies, protects women 's right to choose, liberates women from patriarchal control over women 's sexual and reproductive lives, and allows the mother to choose whether, when, and how often to have a child.…

“When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we can safely assume that there is something wrong in society so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged.” Said by Mattie Brinkerhoff. Abortion is increasing tremendously. There are 40-50 million abortions that occur per year, that means there are 125,000 unborn babies that die every day. In fact, Frank Pavone states that “If we took a moment of silence for each person lost to abortion we would be silent for over 100 years.”…

In today’s societies around the world, there is currently two factions of the highly controversial topic of abortion and whether it should be allowed or outlawed. These two factions on opposite sides are pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice supporters in essence believes a woman has the right to an abortion if she decides to do so. On the other hand, pro-life supporters believe the fetus is its own human being and has the right to live, thus an abortion cannot be performed on the woman. Judith Jarvis Thomson, a philosophy professor supports the right to an abortion in her paper, “A defense of Abortion” (186).…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…
