Abortion, the deliberate termination of a pregnancy, has been a topic of discussion and argument for decades. It is a very controversial topic, however there have been over one billion abortions worldwide since 1980. Although some may oppose abortion, there are countless reasons as to why women have the right to terminate their pregnancy. First, women should have the fundamental right to get an abortion if desired. On the contrary, abortion is the process of murdering an unborn soul and person. Pregnant women who have health problems during a pregnancy can safely terminate the baby so they do not cause themselves any harm. Subsequently, if the unborn baby is diagnosed with a life threatening condition or slim chance to survive, and it is harming the mother, then the best solution would be to terminate the pregnancy. Sure, the women might be a little shaken up, but know it is for the best, for themselves and the child. Third, someone should not be brought into this world already unwanted. At the same time, the parents can just give the child to a social worker where they will be put into a foster house, until they get adopted or become an adult. Although this might be true, the foster care system is just as worse, because the children are also unwanted there and treated poorly. No one should be brought into this world if they are not wanted or valued. It is understandable if you really did want your baby, but were not able to keep it, however to voluntarily give your baby to someone is worse than terminating it for a reason. As for the children put into foster care, they might never find a permanent home or family and will age out of the foster care system by then. The foster care system is not entirely a good place, and a lot of misconduct and abuse occurs between the foster parents and the children. Either way you are unwanted from both
