A survivor's heart beats with hope, the feeling of knowing that all will be okay. If one does not have hope they will be left hopeless, they will fall off of the mountain and struggle to get back up. One day they will wake up and see that love has a face. Kayla Montgomery, a girl who has MS, is struggling but is not letting it stand in her way, although it hurts her and is difficult she continues to accomplish her goals, dreams, and more. “Well, sweetie, that’s kind of how running is, you feel the pain and then you don’t, you just have to push through”, Cromwell said (Crouse). That is motivation from Cromwell, he pays attention and he lets her know she can do it and he supports her along the whole way. Showing support and showing love even with the condition that she has where she says she can't even feel her legs after a race. When one feels hopeless and are at the bottom of the mountain sometimes love and support is the only thing that can bring one back up.
