1990’s Technology
During the 1960’s U.S. military camps were connected if in case a nuclear war was to break out.(O'Flaherty 21) Later, in the 90’s this technology was released to the public and was called the Internet. Not only did computers evolve with the coming years, also medicine too, as experts began to understand how to attack the malignant cells. Scientists were also able to clone an animal from just one cell. As historic and political events occurred, it effect technology in many different ways.
One major event 1990 to 1991 one of the main events that occurred was the Gulf War. What this war was that Iraq invaded a small bordering country named Kuwait.(“90’s news and events”) Kuwait is a small country that is the economy is primarily based on oil. This operation happened after a few days it was called “The 100 Hour War” for how it was because of the technology gap between the Iraqis and Americans. It was also the first televised military operation. On February 26th, 1993 The World Trade Center in New York City was bombed by Islamic terrorists when the parked a car under the North Tower Six people were killed and over a thousand were hurt. In 1995 on April 19th Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols explode a bomb outside the …show more content…
The Internet for online shopping art, food or anything you can imagine you could find it. There were also bad programs on the Internet called a virus there are new ones getting made every day and they are hard to combat because they vary from each one. Not only did the Internet grow, but medical technology became more advanced with one of the accomplishments being, growing a sheep from just one cell, this process is called cloning,and Experts got closer to curing many fatal diseases like cancer.(”Kallen
