An abortion in the first trimester of a pregnancy is eliminating a group of cells and tissue from the uterus. The medical definition of a fetus is: an unborn or unhatched vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind (Webster, 2015) A fetus in the womb cannot breath, think, feel or do anything on it’s own. This argument of "killing babies" is not facts, but rather a product of differing morals.
There are thousands of reasons as to why women need abortions to be available to them at any explanation. Just some include: rape, health risk, or financially unqualified. The social aspect to this issue is not facetious but extremely serious. Any reason is a legitimate reason to get an abortion and to think otherwise is

Pro Choice vs. Pro Life There are many reasons on both sides of this issue of why people believe it is or is not okay to have an abortion. Many believe that it is a woman’s right to choose to end her pregnancy or not. The U.S. Supreme Court has declared that it is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Many would also believe that in choosing to end her pregnancy, she is committing murder, and that although the child is unborn, it is still a living being with the same right to live as its mother. Pro Choice gives women the right to decide if having a child is right for her, and that choice does not end the moment she becomes pregnant.…

The major argument with abortion is taking the life of an unborn human. Fetuses are not independent of themselves, more so they are very dependent on their carrier for nutrition, oxygen and other supplements. Therefore, the child will not be able to survive outside the womb by itself. Abortion is ending the pregnancy, not ending the life of the baby. Pro-life activists argue fetuses are able to feel pain.…

People that are pro-choice believe that abortion should be kept legal because women have the right to make the choice. Since at the time of abortion, the fetus isn’t technically a baby, the pro-life views seem unreasonable to pro-choice supporters. There is a reason that the abortions are only allowed to happen within the first 24 weeks; the ‘fetus’, which is still a clump of cells at that point, can’t survive on its own outside the…

Abortion has been a great topic of debate for many years, both in terms of law/rights and in morality/religion. The constant debate has split people into two sides: Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. Those who are Pro-Choice believe that women have a right to decide the fate of their body, health, and life. They personally may not get an abortion, but they feel that it is still the right of the mother to choose. Abortion prevents unsafe pregnancies, protects women 's right to choose, liberates women from patriarchal control over women 's sexual and reproductive lives, and allows the mother to choose whether, when, and how often to have a child.…

Pro-life supporters make statements about abortion that are not completely true and that do not focus on the woman getting the abortions. Focusing on adoption, cost, or even the doctor’s perspective as a way to try to deny a woman her constitutional rights is wrong. Even when the argument seems like it could possibly be trying to help those thinking about getting abortions, like an argument on the “horrible” side-effects, are truly meant to undermine those seeking abortion.
