It has been said that time is not a resource, and that time is simply the medium through which we are all falling to our deaths. Now, please excuse me for coming off as abrasive, but I felt it pertinent to enunciate how cyclic and wasteful time can be. After examining how I've spent my life so far, I have realized my motives for living have been quite irrational. I am not arguing for nihilism here, but I am arguing that once you realize time and life is ultimately irrational, you learn to appreciate life through a different scope.
