Argument Essay: 8-12 Hours In America

In the work industy Americans strive to work days night and evevn holidays. We feel in order to survive an idependent life we work to whatever means nessesary, never knowing when to stop. Long 12 hour days Monday through Friday and on some times over-time to make ends meet. The question comes is 8-12 hour shift in our best interest or should our standered hours be shortened to acomidate for all those who work to support ourselves and others. I personally, feel strongly with the standpoint of the article "A Six hour Workday Is Penty" because as Americans, we should have the right to our own personal schedule includuing work schedule. In a standard six hour schedule the common work burnout would decerese and the hours spent working would have quality effort put into them. For example, if a factory worker on assembly line worked 12 hour shifts he would become less accerate with the job duties needed to be preforemed. In a six hour shift the man working the same job and having the same tasks would produce more quality work because less hours were spent preforming the task;overall avoiding burnout. in one incidence, a young student could be going to collage and struggling to schedule work and school because of too many hours to work. This individual could not quit their job to go to school or vice versa because without one their could not be another. This creates a problem with scheduling because with a possible work burnout and not enough time anound work to get other non-work related tasked to be completed and potentially become a huge
