Excellent topic. So often domestic violence is overlooked or ignored. I work on a labor and delivery unit and it is part of our admission assessment to screen for domestic violence. Although, thankfully, I have not had many active cases of abuse, there have been many women who have a history of domestic violence. I think all admissions in healthcare should be screened, so nobody gets missed. The article I read has some good advice and screening tools to help promote awareness.
