Many do not realize how lucky they are to live in a place that has medicine widely available to the public. The author of, “Hospitals targeted across South Sudan” Justin Lynch has reported many articles about the different condition of the people living in South Sudan and how they are suffering due to the failing health care of the country. Justin is currently working for the Associated Press in South Sudan. The destruction of the people’s homes and the hospitals within the country is the main argument introduced by Justin. G. Novelo works for the World Health Organization writing articles about the issues that different countries and and how they affect the world in a grand scheme. In his article, Lynch talks to a man that, “sat in the shade of the hospital entrance, as if to guard the nothingness behind him. He remembered what had taken place there. When the Nuer "White Army" attacked, around 3,000 people took shelter in the hospital.” (p. 16&17) This argument is not strong because it only shows the viewpoint of someone that is living in South Sudan and going through the troubles the country is facing making the argument weaker than it could have been. In Justin Lynch’s article, the pathos argument is very strong due to how the article allowing the reader to really think about what is truly going on and developing a picture to form in the reader’s head that allows the reader to feel sad and want to help fix the problems occurring in the region.
