Argument Analysis: Money In The NFL The elite NFL athletes in the United States get paid far too much. There are multiple examples of rhetorical tools found throughout this article. Deion Sanders’ Texas-size mansion deals with the context and the audience deals with the NFL and MLB fans. The uses of facts and statistics is highly used throughout this entire article. This issue matters to professional athletes in the United States; while many athletes claim that the amount of money they are making is fair, evidence suggests that the amount of money that they are making is overrated, and that 's why I believe one day professional athletes will not make as much money as they are making now. The readers get a good idea on how Deion and Pilar’s marriage is going. As stated, “She will stay on that side of the house and I stay on my side” (Henderson, par. 3). This shows that the marriage between the two are falling apart slowly, like a turtle walking on the sand. The communication between both of them is severely weak. Their love for each other is sand in an hourglass, each day falling apart further and further away from each other. This was an extensive life changing for Deion Sanders because now he has major things to worry about on the football field for his career and off the field, later dealing with his divorce. Finding another dream woman as beautiful and the personality that he once loved would be difficult to find again. Some people can just become millionaires because they have God given talent to play a football game that they have been playing all of their life. After the football game nothing dramatically bad happens so that questions people on why the athletes are being paid so much because it is not benefiting society. NFL players play a few amounts of games and get paid millions depending on how good they are and the outcome is not life or death situation. The instructions that they have to follow are so simple such as being told to run a “go” by their coaches. A “go” is when the wide receiver just runs straight down the field and the quarterback throws him the football. It is that simple. That may question people on why these athletes are being paid so much compared to jobs that actually matter. These athletes just practice the same plays over and over and are not learning anything
