Argument Against Trophy Hunting

Rooms filled with heads mounted on the wall. Beautiful, rare and wild species fill the room around you. Glass eyes watching your every move. How does this make you feel? How do you think the animals on your wall feel? They don't, because you killed them. Trophy killing needs to have harsher penalties, it is utterly brutal. Animals suffer for minutes after being shot, all for your pleasure. Imagine your family and friends being shot around you then hung on the wall. Hunters get permits to hunt endangered species, putting their species on the brink of extinction. This needs to stop! The public needs to know about this. Hearing about the many stories of famous and well known animals killed by trophy hunters takes a place deep inside my heart. Trophy hunting disrupts animals way of life. Killing animals for fun is ruthless and painful for the animal, Getting what is called a 'clean shot' is a rare thing in this hunting world. Suffering in …show more content…
Animals numbers are becoming minimal. There are 4 white rhinos left in the wild, 1 male and 3 females. The 1 male is constantly guarded 24/7 to protect him from trophy hunters. He is now sort after as he is the last of his kind. If trophy hunters manage to break this guard and claim the last male white rhino then his species will be lost. Luckily, people against trophy hunting are coming up with new ways to deter hunters from different species. Wild elephants are killed just for their tusks and the left is rest for scraps and maybe a few other things. Conservationists are now painting many elephants tusks pink to deter trophy hunters as they no longer want to keep these pink tusks as it is not natural. The dying of the tusks does not effect the elephant at all. Elephants are the biggest land animal. Trophy hunters go after the biggest and most endangered animals they can find.
