Argument Against Pokemon Go

Decent Essays
After reading your argument against Pokemon Go, I can say without doubt that I do agree with you. The distractions that this game contributes to society does not equate to the good it does. Distracted walking and driving would not contribute to behavioral activation but rather to accidents that results in hospital visits or deaths. Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of accidents, adding one more factor to that equation results in more accidents which outweighs the ability of Pokemon Go to contribute to health. Pokemon Go contributed to people being lured into secluded areas where they are robbed by armed robbers.
Overall Pokemon Go negatives has outweighed its positive. In many ways and if people do not become aware of their surroundings

I suggest that policy makers address the concerns of the game and that Pokemon Go is a augmented reality game. Players should understand the fact that this game is merely for entertainment and not a life long commitment. If not, I suggest that this game be demolished as a whole. The world would obviously be upset but to maintain the sanity of this world, I hope that the absence of this game would be the best for everyone. Students would be back on track with their studies, there would less cases of accidents that happen and people would probably regain the responsibility they had lost when Pokemon Go was…

I have not joined the Pokémon Go craze nor do I plan on becoming a part of the worldwide phenomenon. Even though I am boycotting this beloved game of my childhood, its effect on society is profound and I took notice to it after reading the Huffington Post article, “Pokémon Go’s Mental Health Benefits Are Real”.
