Argument Against Gun Control

I am writing to express my concern about an issue that I see so much now – gun control. I see many reports with the headlines saying gun shooting. Many innocent people are dying more than usual due to guns being purchased easily. Also, many people with bad backgrounds are purchasing guns easily and using it badly. It makes it harder for people to go each day thinking whether their life or their families’ life is at risk. Something must be done in order to make this place a safer place. JoJo, you and your colleagues at the Texas Department of Public Safety on the Regulatory Services Leadership (RSD) could help make our communities safer from gun violence. Let us have a stricter gun control by adding a universal background check and making it more efficient and effective. Also let us have an increased mental health treatment. According to the site guns used for defensive purposes have decreased since 2015. Also according to the website all the following; total number of incidents, total number of injuries, total number of children and teen death, total mass shootings, total police deaths, and the total accidental shootings all have increased in just one year. That said we can tell that many people started misusing guns. People started using guns to kill innocent people rather than defend themselves and others. Not one day goes by without a gun shooting happening, and we must change that. As stated by Dr. Bindu Kaleson on the Lancet she explains how one in three Americans own a gun illegally or legally. She also states that guns are the leading causes of death. Guns are used to kill oneself, used to kill others, or used in homicides and many more.
