Fixing america would require fixing the important social economic and healthcare policies. In 1776, our founding fathers signed the declaration in promise that “all men are created equal.” Continuing on, in 1933 the Federal Religious Freedom Restoration act was put in place to protect Native Americans from religious discrimination in the workplace. One of America's greatest attributes is treating people equally whether you have the same beliefs or not, until today. Businesses in America have been doing the exact opposite. “Usually near the cash register...says…’we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone’”, according to Mark Evans (ITB editor). Businesses are refusing to serve customers that don't have the same beliefs. For example, “Religiously afflicted schools [are]...firing women because...pregnant [but] not married”, says American Civil Liberties Union. This unfairness is not who we are as a country.

We try to work as hard as we can and make as much as we can to be able to obtain what we need. But, not everything goes our way. Not everything works out perfectly. We cannot control drastic situations that happen in our lives. If a family member happens to be in critical condition and one has to go say their goodbyes instead of working, not their fault. If someone happens to be pregnant and cannot perform their work, it is not their fault. Just because this happens doesn't mean that money should stop coming into their pockets. According to Washington Post, “...39 percent [workers] do not have...any sick leave at all.” Typically, “workers who lack paid leave are more likely to come to work sick”, says the Bell Policy Center. The issue doesn't do anything but make it more difficult for for others and people around them as well. Since we are a wealthy country, there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to give hard workers paid
