Argument Against Aging

Decent Essays
This is the part where I tell myself that aging can’t be fixed. There is something about aging that I like and it is the part where I get my freedom as an adult. When someone turns sixteen and gets their license. When people get older they can get a good degree and job and have a good life.
Aging is apart of life so there is no reason to be depressed about is. Getting older should make people happy, once people turn sixteen and get their license it’s all nice. Becoming an adult and making decisions that couldn’t be made at a younger age. Having a carer and getting a good education. Aging should not be depressing because it will happen anyways so it is nothing to stress about. Aging is natural it happens to everyone so think about it, everyone goes through it. Aging is not going to stop unless the world stopped spinning, like that’s going to happen.

Once you get older and settle down and have a nice job a wife and kids it would be nice to get to that point. Getting older is also good because the longer someone has a job the more they will get paid, or they might get a raise. Overall, I believe aging is not bad because getting your license once you turn six teen is an accomplishment. Ageing is a very natural thing it can’t be stopped and it’s going to keep happening. Having a wife and kid once you get older is a good steady way for people to think they are

In Western societies the process of aging is seen as a bad thing to happen, and most people do not respect their elders like other parts of the world. Alice Waters states, "I have been many different places around the world where getting older is something you look forward to. You have an opportunity to be someone who is respected, someone who is contributing to life in a very important way." If you take care of your body throughout life, then in old age you have a better chance to be able to care for yourself better. Living longer means you gain more knowledge, you can spend longer time with your family, etc. With the stigma older people face in Western societies it can also be hard.…
