Are Youth Sports Too Dangerous

There is many dangers involved in sports, children and teens should not be exposed to such circumstances when instead sports could be made safer for everyone to enjoy and play safely.
Since more teens and children are getting involved in playing sports, sports should be made safer in order to protect their lives. By avoiding injuries sustained by players it is cost effective for sport teams and organizations. According to Tony Cooper, writer of the article “Youth sports -- too dangerous? / Are youth sports too harmful?,” in 1999 the total cost for the injuries was $6.89 billion (including medical and legal liability), and although more recent figures aren't available, one doctor said the current cost is probably around $8 billion (Cooper).
