Subject: Are You Your Brother’s Keeper?
Genesis 11:26-32
11: 26-32 Tarah was seventy years old and he had three sons, Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran was the father of Lot, Milcah, and Iscah. Haran dies in the land of Ur of the Chaldees. Abram married Sarai and Nahor married Milcah his brother Haran's daughter. The family left Ur and traveled Northwest along the Euphrates River Valley to Haran and then southwest toward Canaan this was the trade route to missing the Arabian Dessert which was very dangerous as it still is today.
Proposition:
Tarah was the head of the family even though God gave Abraham the vision he remained faithful to his father until his death, then he continued the mission God had given him. How many of you grew up with the head of the family being your grandfather and then your father but no decision overrode what your grandfather said. You see some of our four fathers followed the path of the Bible for that was all they knew, so the family fell in line with whatever the head of the family said for it was like the gospel.

After Abraham invited the men to his home he gave them water to wash their feet and prepared a meal, he did not sit down with them but stood as a servant to them, (an Ancient hospitality to your guest). When the men prepared to leave and headed toward Sodom Abraham walked with them. The Lord spoke and said, "Abraham, I have heard that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah are doing all kinds of evil things. Now I am going down to see for myself if those people are that bad.
