It taught me to fail. These two concepts sound similar so it actually taught me so much more than I can comprehend right now. This year I’ll be using advice from the “Grit” speech to help me be more successful in 7th grade. When I think something is hard I’ll think back to the speech when Duckworth, the presenter, said,”If you try hard enough you surely can learn [the idea].” Before I ever take advice from these articles I have to be willing to fail as stated in the “Grit” speech. The article “Are you a loser?” states, over and over again, that you MUST fail. That you have to learn how to fail if you want to succeed. When i hear that I think that when you fail you’re learning how to get back up from failing and to learn from your own mistakes. Surely, if you don’t ever fail in making your invention or idea, your invention will have a bump in it. I’ll use these quotes, from “Grit” and “Are you a loser?” to refer back to whenever I have a problem or I’m not self confident.
