Thousands of products on the supermarket shelf today are largely consumed by people without knowledge of what fake ingredients are in them. I believe this is largely due to the fast-paced lives we lead. No one takes the time any longer to make a meal from scratch like our great grandmother did. Many of the foods they consumed were grown on the farm, picked cooked and eaten immediately. There was no need for preservatives to sustain a long shelf life.
