Videogames have been part of children's childhood for quite several years. They were presented as a new form of entertainment for kids in the 1970s when a company called Atari introduced one of the first commercial videogames called Pong, a game about two rectangles, one on each side of the screen bouncing a point from one side to another emulating a ping pong or tennis game, since then videogames have become one of the larges industries of entertainment along with the film industry. Although it has been prove that videogames can be use for learning in schools, the topic of videogames and violence have always been over the table and have always gotten more attention and controversy. Establishing that violent videogames increase violent behaviors on teens and adults. One of the first registered controversies between violence and videogames was in the shooting at Columbine High School, When it was discovered by the media after the events that shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were avid players of the games Doom and Wolfenstein 3D, both created by Id Software ("Video Games." Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection), these games were already recognized for the high amounts of gruesome content. The games were immediately blamed as the main influence of the antisocial behavior of the shooters. Moreover, there were several lawsuit against Id Software for develop the game and cause the massacre, at least on part, although any of them was successful because the proves about the relation between the shooting and the game were weak. Another case were videogames were blamed for violent events was on December 14, 2012. when twenty-year-old Adam Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary School and shot and killed several students and six staff members, before kill himself. Prior to the incident, Lanza shot and killed his mother. While it is unknown why Lanza committed the crime, it was found that he played a computer game called School Shooting, in which the player shoots and kills people in a school.
