Historically, Tattoos were known hundreds of years ago. According to Matthew Libassi in 2013, tattoos were first found on a man that was found in ice in the Alps in the early 1990s. His corpse was a little over five thousand years old and the tattoos were used for many different purposes. According to Lorne Zelyck, “ tattoos desecrate the structural aspect of the image of God because they violate our consciences and God’s law” (Zelyck 2015). Christians think it is an abomination and a sin to mark our bodies with tattoos because God made us the way we are for a reason.
