Are Smartphones taking over people’s lives? In todays age most everyone has some sort of smart phone at his or her fingertips on a daily basis. How did this revolution start and how has it influenced an entire generation of people? Many people believe these smartphones are no harm and should be used as much as possible due to the amount of information at your fingertips while others believe it should be limited as it causes people to have less of an attention span. Whichever side you are on we will see how this device has taken over the world. This opened the floodgates to a whole new revolution of technology and what we can do with the devices in our pockets. The release of the IPhone now allowed people to have everything they have ever wanted in a small device in their pockets. It is even said that the same technology in that phone was the same technology to get us to the moon. This new device created a high demand for the product and in turn Apple sold 1 million phones in the first 74 days (Time.com). It was also declared the best invention of the year by time magazine. This then in turn made the IPhone a product you must have. It also created a social status by owning an IPhone meant you where above the rest. We can now have the same technology it took to get us to the moon in our pockets. With virtually every encyclopedia and ounce of information accessible thru these devices there is no doubt we have been hooked on these devices. Not a second of the day goes by without us checking out new information and being ruled by our phones. From the days of the first IPhone new companies began to create their own smartphones like HTC and Android. These companies all use close to the same products and in turn they all can do majority of the same things. With the market for these phones getting bigger and bigger more companies began to put their foot in the market and began to saturate the market. However people still buy these phones and they are used for many different things, from reaching people and surfing the web too creating programs and running business off of these
