Here are some of the downsides of school uniforms. A lot of public schools that have these uniforms and uniform policies, are found in poor neighborhoods. This information puts a spotlight on the class distinction that uniforms and policies were supposed to dispose of in the first place. Its pretty unfair to see that schools in richer neighborhoods get to wear whatever they please or have less stricter dress codes. All the while the poor neighborhoods don’t have a choice and have to blow money on expensive uniforms. That’s just very petty and saddening.
