People are willing to give up their own belongings in order to make other people happy or help others out. An example of this is when Mr. Frank said “It’ll be hard, I know. But always remember this, Anneke.There are no walls, there are no bolts, no locks that anyone can put on your mind. Miep will bring us books.We will read history,poetry, mythology.” Mr.Frank is telling everyone that even though life is going to get hard it will be okay, if we all work together and help each other out. People have to help one another in many ways to get through tough times. People took others in, to help them out and they didn’t mind it just like Mr.Frank did “Dirk...Miep’s Dirk, you know, came to me just now. He tells me that he has a Jewish friend living near him. A dentist. He says he’s in trouble. He begged me ,could I do anything for this man? Could I find him a hiding place?... So I’ve come to you… I know it’s terrible thing to ask of you, living as you are, but would you take him in with you? Of course we will.” Even though Mr.Frank really didn’t have anymore space for anyone he still took people in because he knew what would happen to the people if he didn’t help them. After reading this play and seeing how people from completely different lifestyles all came together in a dark time in their life, I believe that people are good at
