When somebody feels as if they have been betrayed, it is easy to hold a grudge against the betrayer, what we do not realize is that we betray ourselves. We elevate our friends, family, and loved ones to a point in which we believe they can do no wrong. When they make a mistake, we hold it against them because we held them to such high standards.
