Standing in line and waiting for the little old lady at the front to fish the $3.62 out of her purse and hand it to the cashier is completely a waste of time, especially since exact change is a nearly impossible feat in today’s economy. Rarely would one get a total of $10.00, more common are prices like $9.34 and other inconvenient numbers. Pennies are the smallest form of U.S. Currency and are worth $0.01, or one cent. The question arises, is the penny even worth using? We should eliminate the use of the penny because of the uselessness of the penny, the penny costs Americans more money than it’s worth, and most pennies just disappear into seemingly thin air after coming into the real world.
