The technology of today was considered science fiction twenty years ago, which is remarkable. I believe technology is making the world a better place by taking jobs that are not well suited for humans, improving the efficiency of working, and freeing people up to do jobs better suited for them.
When life is compared to how it was thirty years ago, it is obvious that it has improved in many ways. The invention of the internet, and cell phones for example, has greatly enhanced the way people communicate, and share ideas with each other, but technology has its draw

Now we have to do it again in the technological world we live in. So far we have failed at this, but I believe we can turn it around. A major factor that needs to be dealt with that would improve our ability to adapt to the new technological age is education. We need to make education more focused towards making our children ready for the types of jobs that are going to be available to them in the future. Secondly, government polices need to be set in place to mediate the amount of workers that are being displaced by technology. Lastly, the resources necessary to be able to acquire the new types of jobs being created by technology need to be made available to a wider range of people. Obviously achieving these goals is not going to be easy, and it may take while to accomplish them, but accomplishing them could greatly improve our society and our economy. At the same time, technology may take away access to the basics, like a house and food, through the loss of a steady income to a large group of people. If we can address these issues, so everyone has access to a reasonable standard of living while enjoying the fruits of technology, we could have a very optimistic, almost utopian, future.…
