Are Humans Good In Lord Of The Flies

Humans are overall good in my eyes and they were made good by God. People are put on this earth for reason and if they want to be to be evil and bad people then that’s their choice. Everyone has good in them no matter who you are. I believe that humans are good because of Ralph and piggy and when we mosses led the Israelites out of Egypt. William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies shows that humans are good through the characters of Ralph and Piggy. They both show examples of trust, leadership, and bravery. Some may not think that Piggy was brave because he was afraid of going out in the dark or wasn’t a big hunter. He showed his bravery threw his ideas and knowledge. The two boys had trust in each other and the others trusted Ralph as a leader. They didn’t know whether they were going to die or have something bad to happen to them, but they trusted Ralph’s commands. They knew how to control it and maintain a healthy democracy among the boys. Ralph gave the boys hope when he says in the novel after they let the fire go out, “Don’t you want to get rescued!” When he says these words it hits the boys deep. They were having a blast and playing in the water and having no adults tell them what to do. Then they realized they could actually die after the boy with the birthmark disappears.
